HEALTHCARE FOR TOURISTS

All tourists are entitled to FIRST AID ASSISTANCE.
On the basis of medical insurance certificate issued by national health insurance institutions of the foreign countries, branch office of the Croatian National Health Insurance (Ispostava Hrvatskog zavoda za zdravstveno osiguranje ) or Tourist first aid (turisticka ambulanta) issue the patient's record (bolesnicki list).
Tourists from Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Great Britain can get medieal assistance on the basis of their passports, and guests from Slovenia on the basis of their stamped health insuranee cards. For further information call 813 195, 816 619.

The "Prim. dr. Martin Horvat" Orthopaedic Clinic and Rehabilitation Centre
The "Prim. dr. Martin Horvat" Orthopaedic Clinic and Rehabilitation Centre, with its hundred-year-old tradition, is fully equipped for physical therapy. It has three indoor seawater swimming pools, outdoor recreational facilities and beaches for hydro-therapy. Services include: rehabilitation of bed-ridden and partially or totally-paralysed patients, treatment for damage to the central and peripheral nervous systems, rheumatism, muscular dystrophy and other degenerative conditions. The physical therapy section employs various procedures including kinetic, electro - and hydrotherapy. During the summer months hydrotherapy is administered in the sea.
